QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

A little more about our pantry.

Start here for ingredients, everyday uses, and help with an order.

What are tiger nuts?

Tiger nuts are small tubers that grow underground. They have a gently sweet, earthy flavor and a firm, chewy texture. We use them to make butters, granola, flour, and oil, and offer them whole.

Which tiger nut butter should I try?

Original keeps the mild sweetness of tiger nuts at the center. Carob adds a mellow, roasted note; Cinnamon brings gentle warmth; Coconut Macaroon has a light coconut note. Crunchy offers a little more texture. Each comes in an 8 oz jar.

Where can I find the ingredients?

Each product page lists its ingredients and shows the package label. Read the details for the specific flavor you choose. If you have a question about an ingredient or how a product is made, contact us before ordering.

Can I choose products for my AIP kitchen?

Start with the ingredient list for each product and compare it with the guidance you follow. Recipes and serving ideas may include other ingredients, so check those separately. We can help with questions about what is in a Paleo Tiger product.

Why is there oil on top of my butter?

Oil can separate in the jar. Stir it back into the spread before serving, and follow the storage instructions and date on the label.

How do I use tiger nut flour?

Begin with a recipe written for tiger nut flour. Its texture and behavior differ from other flours, so a direct swap may change the result. Try it in a recipe for muffins, pancakes, cookies, or a vegetable coating.

What are whole tiger nuts like?

They are firm and chewy, with a mild sweetness. Soaking softens their texture. You can also use whole tiger nuts in recipes for tiger nut milk.

How can I use tiger nut oil?

Whisk it into a dressing, drizzle a little over cooked vegetables, or use it in a baking recipe. Our oil is cold-pressed and unfiltered, with a subtle, nutty flavor.

Where do you ship, and is shipping free?

We offer free shipping on all orders within the United States, with no minimum. We do not currently ship to Canada or other international destinations. Orders are prepared in 1 business day, and delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after shipping. Product pages show current availability, and any applicable tax is shown at checkout.
